Support Workers – NEWENT, Gloucestershire (Learning Disabilities and Challenging Behaviour)

As a Support Worker, you will join a staff team that supports adults with learning disabilities and complex needs

The team focuses on promoting daily living skills and independence, for the clients they support; enabling them to live a full and rewarding life’s.

If you are a driver this would be an advantage as our service users enjoying being out and about.

No experience is required – life experience and personal values are more important.

We are seeking individuals to assist our service users in all parts of their lives, from helping with personal care, finances, medication, leisure activities, shopping and other day-to-day activities. You will be part of an exciting and forward thinking team who support complex needs in a progressive and proactive way.

We provide 24/7 support 365 days a year; we are looking for individuals who have the flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, some nights and Bank Holidays if required. Part of your role could also include being paid to take someone on holiday.

We will provide you with full training, including an induction when you start and training that’s focuses on the needs of the people you support. Alongside this we will support you to develop your career in Health & Social Care and achieve nationally recognised qualifications.
