When you choose a career at Holmleigh Care, your journey doesn’t stop when your job offer is received. We will take you through a comprehensive training and development programme, tailored to your experience and goals, that gives you the experience and skills you need to progress within the company.
Our ongoing career development combines face to face training, one to ones, e-learning, formal training, group sessions and work-based learning. Training can be designed around your interests and the specific needs of the people you support.

Comprehensive face to face company induction plan
Holmleigh Care recognise the importance of induction and a good induction is essential in giving you the understanding and foundations of the the work we do. All about us, how we operate and our values. You will receive a solid understanding of what you need to do to do your job well.
You will be guided through the legal frameworks under which we operate, including the Care Quality Commission and Safeguarding.
Ongoing training and development
You will receive ongoing continued training and support from both our Head Office training department and your line manager/team. This will increase and refine your knowledge and skills to allow you to perform at your best.
Access to professional qualifications
We will support you with access to Professional Social Care Qualifications following your probation period. This should be discussed with your line manager in the first instance.
Bespoke training sessions
Our training department will work with our management teams to deliver bespoke training sessions as and when required. This could be around changes in legislation or the industry or could be to do with changes specifically relating to your role or the company procedures. Any specific individual support training needs will also be identified and tailored sessions will be created.
Regular one to ones
Your line manager will set regular catch-up meetings with you and your wider teams to discuss the things that are important to you. Here you will agree goals and share your thoughts, best practice, celebrate our successes, providing feedback on your job role and the wider company.
Many of our experienced senior staff have been working in the care sector for most of their careers. They are proactive mentors to those looking to develop their careers, supporting their journey and honing their skills.

- Positive Behaviour Support
- Sexuality in learning disabilities
We will provide the foundations, structure, processes and opportunities to enable you to carry out your role confidently and successfully.
We encourage individuals to think differently and challenge the norm, seeking out opportunities for improvements and positive change, whilst taking on additional responsibility outside of role specific requirements.
